We are proud to announce our company has become a 100% Green Energy partner through the purchase of Renewable Energy Credits, commonly referred to as RECS. We believe as a leading consultant in the energy industry, it is imperative to point ourselves in the right direction before we lead others.
UtiliTech led a Consortium of Colleges in Washington DC in their efforts to go Green through the group purchase of Green REC’s. They established what percent Green they wanted to be and then established what their budget would be for this project. UtiliTech was able to RFP and purchase percentage of Green they wanted in REC’s and came in at 42% under their allotted budget figure.
As the debate continues among worldwide experts and scientists about the impact of CO2 on our environment and global warming, UtiliTech is taking a proactive position on developing a better understanding and dialogue with interested parties and clients. It is our response to what clearly is a bigger issue. . . . .how can we effectively transition our growing appetite from depleting and price volatile traditional energy resources to more friendly and cost-effective renewable energy choices.
